How to Run Incompatible Android Apps in Your Android Devices
Now if you owe an old Android device, you may see some of the latest apps being incompatible with your Android devices. And if you are the die-hard fan of that app, you may feel bad. But now you can run those incompatible apps by bypassing the check with root access and many of those apps will run smoothly with your present old Android devices. However, some of the apps won’t work after you install them by bypassing the check, but many apps will.
What You Need for this?
For bypassing the check in order to run incompatible Android apps, you need rooted android device and along with that you need to install ES File Explorer from Google Play.
Doing Minor Tweaks
You need to do some changes to make this happen. The file named “build.prop”contains some information by which Google identifies your device. So doing minor editing on this file will troll the Google Play.
Firstly launch the ES File Explorer app. Navigate to its Settings and enable the Root Explorer and Mount File System options.
After enabling two options, navigate to /system/directory on your Android device and locate build.prop file.
Before editing the original build.prop file, create a copy of it elsewhere for backup.
Now it’s time to do some editing! Open build.prop file as ES Note Editor by long pressing on it.
Look for the “ro.product.model” and “ro.product.manufacture” lines; this is the place where you are going to do some minor changes.
Edit these lines to pretend that your Android device is another model. For imitating, we are using “Nexus 4”.
· ro.product.model = Nexus 4
· ro.product.manufacture = Samsung
After making the suitable changes, tap on the Save button.
Finalizing the Process
After you are done with above process, go to Settings -> Applications -> Manage Application and select Google Play app. Clear its Cache and data and restart your Android device.
Now open Google Play Store and you should be able to download any apps that claimed that they are incompatible with your device. Install them and enjoy playing with those incompatible apps. Some of the apps like Google Chrome may not work, but there are plenty of apps you can run on your old Android device by this method.
